He is our Rock

We are living through some pretty unusual times aren't we? It can often seem scary or confusing. It's hard to know what to believe, how to feel or what to even do. But, before your mind goes down the trail of uncertainties and you get wrapped up in emotions, let me remind you that none of this caught our God off guard!

In fact, He knew we would be suffering through a pandemic and that it would bring about a wake of changes to our lives. He knew school would look different. Sports and events would look different. Hanging out with friends would be different. He tells us in the Bible, that in this world, we will encounter trouble. That we should expect it!

Even still, God cares so deeply for us and wants us to know that He is our refuge, our hope, our healer and our protector. So, we aren't doing these troubling times alone. Take a moment to read through the verses below.

Psalm 121:7 The Lord will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your life.

John 16:33 In this life you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

What do those verse mean to you? Let those Truths settle in your heart. Then take action and write one or both of them down and place it somewhere to see, to remind your heart that God is our conqueror. Our steady and constant. Our rock. He is our source of hope in troubled times.

We live in a fallen world and we will encounter strife and hardships, that is certain. But we were not made, nor meant to fully understand why things happen, only trust that God does. Place your worries, fears and unsteady emotions at His feet today. He will gladly take them from you.

Praying for you today as you meet with your Father. May He give you peace in a restless time we live in and remind you that you are safe in His care.
